I am looking specifically at microsoft and razer gaming products.
How can a person make an informed decision when trying to purchase a gaming keyboard and mouse?
There are soo many choices out threre and without the time and money to try them all its confusing.
Please comment on personal preference, performance, comfort etc.
Microsoft habu is one i have been looking at also.

Thanks,
oldskool

Well when it comes to mice I love the G9 from Logitech and believe it or not but a close second for use with FPS games is the Zalman FPS Mouse but again that is idea specifically to that market, although I didnt have any trouble using it with other games.

Now if it has to be Razer which is an awesome company then as for a mouse goes I would strongly recommend the Lachesis. I have and used this mouse as well before the G9 took its place and it too is an amazing mouse.

when it comes to keyboards I would say either the new Logitech G15 which I will have a review of this keyboard up by hopefully next week or Razer Lycosa which is another keyboard which I hope to get a review sample of to check out but looks fantastic for a straight forward performance keyboard.

Can you review the belkin gaming pad? Are there other left hand controllers out there which are any good?

Just throwing out some ideas and looking for input.

Well I would have reviewed the Belkin gaming pad, even had that all lined out with Belkin but they dont allow people to keep the products that they have reviewd and would have to be sent back to the company, and well ya for the value of that item versus the time spent reviewing the item and the then hits we would gain from that review well wasnt in our favor at the time so we passed on that particular item.

As for the Habu ya I have heard good things about that mouse.

The Razer has good mice too. I dont know about keyboards, but i have a Razer DeathAdder (death looms near :P) and it's rly rly good. Works awsome for me. If u have lots of money then go for the Razer Lachesis.

G5 is the best mouse I've tried so far. I heard the OCZ Dominatrix is pretty good as well, but I never tried it.

Well i got the microsoft habu mouse and it sucks bad it is ergo so if u like the tracballs or ergo tilted and high centered mice for a palm grip mouse this one is for u. It hurts my wrist and arm bad. Gonna try the razer lachesis next cause it is flatter and less contoured. I claw grip a mouse like playing piano so i think i will like it better. I hate all logitec products always have scince the 1990's their drivers and support have always sucked bad. Scince computer "gamers" have become a miltibillion dollar industry maybe they have cleaned up their act. I am an oldskool gamer and don't have 5grand to dump into poser crap so i can call myself a gamer lol.
Well basically the microsoft habu is a razer copperhead with a camel hump in the middle and it is heavy too. Mice are like shoes everyone has different feet and tastes. Happy gaming!
