Visually speaking, this is probably one of the best looking laptop coolers we’ve seen; however, looks are great but function is also important. This cooler didn’t perform as well as expected. It kept our lap cool, but not so much for the laptop side of the cooler. Possibly pairing with a laptop that has an intake vent on the bottom would yield better results. If this cooler was priced in the $40-50 price range it would be a great deal, but at the MSRP of about $90 and an average street price of about $60 it is just outside of our recommendation list. However, if you’re looking for a laptop cooler filled with bling, and could find a use for mirrors while on the go then this would be a great multi-function vanity mirror / laptop cooler combo.

  • Stylish
  • Functional
  • Fairly light weight
  • Meshed grill on both sides of the fan
  • Adjustable fan speed and lighting control
  • Would have been nice if they used a retractable USB cable
  • A bit to much of the bling bling
Area Rating Reason
Features 4/5 Meshed fan grills to prevent foreign objects from contacting the fan blades, fan speed adjustments, and separate light controls make this a well-designed laptop cooler, and don’t forgot to add some bonus built in mirrors for extra bling.
Performance 2/5 This cooler lacks in this department, though it functioned as designed the results were not so impressive. A laptop with a bottom intake vent would probably see better results. It did, however, cool our lap very well.
Value 2/5 At the initial price of $89 we would have told you to pass this by but at the time of testing the NBC200 had a price of $59.95 that is significantly better priced. But we feel dropping it to be no more than $49.99 would be the sweet spot and really make this laptop cooler shine and make it the cooler to go for.
