Today we will be reviewing the Scythe "NINJA 2 Rev.B" 6Heat Pipes CPU Cooler but first a little bit about the company.

Scythe Co., Ltd., began its operation and business in November, 2002 as a distributor and manufacture of PC parts & gaming devices for “DIY PC Experts!”. Scythe’s first venture was to manufacture a super powerful YET super quiet CPU cooler (Scythe Kamakaze CPU cooler), and with the great success of this Kamakaze CPU cooler, Scythe became recognized as the leading CPU cooler supplier in Japan’s Akihabara Electric Town. Shortly there after, due to popular demand, Scythe began exporting products all over the world.

In April of 2004 Scythe USA began local operations by establishing an office in Northern California. In October of 2004 Scythe USA moved operations to LA in order to work more closely with manufactures and streamline logistics to better service our US based partners. Improved Performance
Performance improvement has accomplished for this version 2 as 5% performance increase in fanless operation (TDP 65 W at 25°C / 77°F ambient temperature) and 15% performance increase in active cooling operation (TDP 130 W at 25°C / 77°F ambient temperature). Fin shape and fin pitch have been also modified to maximize the performance yet making the total dimension and weight to be compact like the former version.
