QNAP TS-859 Pro Turbo NAS
QNAP has redesigned their box since the previously reviewed TS-439 and I must say it's quite an improvement. The TS-859's box is very bright and simple. The front features a large image of the unit itself, a couple badge images, and a highly summarized list of the few hundred features of the unit. The back gives a more detailed breakout of the unit's features, while the sides (not pictured) have more features listed.
Upon opening the box, you'll be greeted with a Welcome - quite literally! The top of the inner flap has a simple 3-step setup guide and some additional information for contacting QNAP. At the very top of the box is a small box with all of the accessories, followed by a sheet of foam. The NAS itself is surrounded by very thick foam (the good kind).
The small accessories box that's included has a number of goodies including the quick installation guide (that's actually quite thick as it supports multiple languages), a CD with QNAP's software, a card reminding you can get free firmware upgrades from QNAP's website, power cable, a bag of screws + keys, and two gigabit CAT 5e Ethernet cables. Of course, you also get the NAS itself.
